Q: How do I get a Home Care Package?
- Arrange an assessment with MyAgedCare.
- After the assessment, you’ll receive a letter outlining the Home Care Package you’ve been approved for.
- You choose a provider to deliver your Home Care Package. Once chosen, you’ll sign a service agreement with them. This will authorise the money to be paid to the provider for your care services.
- Flexi Support carers will be as involved or hands-off as you want. You have control and flexibility with how to spend your Home Care Package budget.
Q: Can I move to other providers?
Yes, you can move your package to any other providers, anytime you want.
When contacting providers, it’s worth considering:
- Your current and future goals
- Flexibility for unexpected changes
- Your care needs
- Your budget
- Whether you want a provider that offers in-home and/or residential care
Flexi Support provides high quality in-home care services so our clients can enjoy living at home.
To switch providers, you’ll have to notify your existing provider, notify MyAgedCare and then sign a new service agreement. We can assist you with the process if you wish.
Q: I already have a provider, but can I get services from Flexi Support?
Yes, absolutely. You can contact your Case Manager to liaise with Flexi Support for additional care shifts. You have access to all of our direct care and case management services on a one-off, short-term or long-term basis. We’ll happily integrate with your existing care.
